Julia's Story

Julia Ozello fights to ensure that large institutions and corporations are held accountable for the harm their products and policies cause to consumers. By standing up to powerful companies from Ford Motors to Blue Cross Blue Shield, she fights not only to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients, but also to improve consumer protections across the U.S.

After training in criminal law, Julia pivoted to consumer protection in order to make a direct and material difference in the lives of her clients. Drawing on her background working with consumer nonprofits and various public defender offices, she analyzes and deconstructs defense counsels’ positions, obtains and investigates crucial litigation information through research and discovery, and builds the strongest possible cases for her clients.

Julia received her law degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2020 and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago in 2016. She initially focused on international criminal law and, after graduation, worked with the Greater Chicago Legal Clinic before shifting her focus to consumer protection. Julia is admitted to practice in the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of Illinois, the Southern District of Indiana, the Western District of Wisconsin, the Eastern District of Texas, and the District of Colorado; she is also an active member of the Chicago Bar AssociationIllinois State Bar Association, and American Association for Justice.

At Wallace Miller, Julia is focusing on class action, antitrust, and consumer protection cases, including predatory lending, Ford transmission litigations, and violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
